Metric Data

Suicide data is collected by the National Center for Health Statistics and National Vital Statistics System. Calculating the rate of suicides includes data from the Census Bureau’s Population Estimates Program. The data is reported by County Health Rankings.

The rate reported is the number of deaths from self-inflicted injuries per 100,000 population. Data is found on the second page of the linked dashboard.

What is EIPH Doing?

Though the causes of suicide are complicated and determined by many factors, the goal of Eastern Idaho Public Health and the Suicide Prevention Program is to reduce the rate of suicide by advancing awareness and education on suicide prevention, providing resources, emphasizing hope and recovery.
