Sexually Transmitted Diseases

Definition: Sexually transmitted infections (STI/STDs) are infections that are spread through sexual contact and can affect anyone, often without obvious symptoms.

Metric Data

Eastern Idaho Public Health has developed a reportable disease dashboard to inform the community on reportable disease trends within the district.

What is EIPH Doing?

To protect the health of our communities and prevent the spread of infectious diseases, epidemiologists and disease investigators at Eastern Idaho Public Health investigate cases of reportable diseases and other unusual occurrences of disease in our communities. When a reportable disease is identified in our health district, our epidemiologists work to identify anyone who may have been in close contact with the infected person(s) and provide them with education, vaccination, and/or medication if needed to stop the spread of the disease.

Eastern Idaho Public Health offers Sexually Transmitted Infections (STI) related services at all locations.
